Understanding
custom murals.
A mural is a single image produced to the geometry of a specific wall — sometimes several — with panels sequenced in the order they will hang. Where wallpaper repeats, a mural does not.
The category ranges from digitally printed murals, which offer flexible scale and shorter lead times, to fully hand-painted commissions on silk from houses such as de Gournay and Fromental, where lead times are longer and each panel is unique.
Our role is to translate a room into a mural specification: we prepare a scaled elevation, coordinate colorway and scale with the artist or house, and plan the multi-panel installation on site. Lead times and requirements vary by product.
